Sorry, my dears, but I have a show to set up tomorrow so I'm going to have to respond the lazy way. On the DIY-Do-It-Yourself Tribe there is a thread called 'scrap paper floor' discussing covering surfaces with paper. Scroll down to the 3rd post from the end and I've given my entire process.

The adhesive is just a decoupage medium (Mod Podge) sealed with floor quality polyurethane. If you have any questions, I'll be around.

Thanks for the nice comments and the interest.
Peace.

I love those paper bag surfaces, too!

And I'm curious, too, about technique. What sort of adhesives/sealers did you use? How do they stand up to wear and spills?

How did you make them?

I really suck at taking pictures, so be gentle with me. I posted pictures in my profile of some of the things I have been working on... a lot of them are created with at least some recycled items... paper pendants, bangle bracelets from the cardboard inside packing tape, plant hangers crocheted from grocery bags, handbags from VCR tapes... I forgot to take pics of the bracelets and necklaces with bottle caps and paper beads, but hopefully I'll get to that soon. Peace.
